Since buying a new wacom tablet I have been drawing alot more, so I want a place to show them. I dug up some old sketches from a few years ago before Uni, its amazing to see the progression I have made.

I have been busy working full time, and working on various projects, but more on that another time. Things are happening at the moment, i'm really motivated and pushing towards bigger things. So to start this new year and to show how things are moving on, I have started by redeveloping my website, giving it a look and feel that I am happy to leave it at, as I have no intention of going back to redevelop it again.

It's been a good project, really beneficial and kept me busy. I'm not sure if this is a direction I want to go, there is still a hell of a lot more to website building than what I have conjured up in flash, but I have learnt alot

But thats cool. The project i'm working on, I have been working on for a while now but until recently has become an official paid commission. It's redesigning of a website for "The Dracula Chronicles" book series.

It's been kinda fun at the moment until I hit a brick wall this morning remembering why I hated Flash in the first place...
As the day has gone on, I have solved some problems I had been having and am back on track. The website is by no means complete.. well it can be, just I want to push it as much as possible. I am exploring and pushing the boundries with my knowledge of Flash and web design which is fun. I just need more resources sent to me before I can finalise anything. For now I am experimenting with designs and how the site will function so that when all the pieces arrive to me, I can quickly knock it all together with all the little bits of code and stuff all sorted and ready.

Lately I have been sorting my life out, finding a full time job and enjoying time with my girlfriend, whilst also working on other projects.

The main project I am working on which I reckon will be on for a few years is titled as 'Magna-Opus', I'm not revealing too much yet, but its basically a form of experimentation for now.

I'm now just getting back into doing some animation and drawing again, trying to get back into my old habit of making sure I do at least one creative thing a day. So now i'm looking back into Armature construction to work on some tests

But the majority of developments film wise will progres around november time onwards I should imagine once I have some money behind me to fund these other projects

Lately I have been working on completing my bedroom. tidying, reorganising and setting up new furniture to make it a better working environment. I've been working on another project collaborating with Paddy, whilst also at the same time working on building a website for an established book Author.

But when I'm not working I have been out and about, been spending time with my girlfriend and friends, been to see Muse at Wembley Stadium and also hunting for a job to get me some income.

Also recently I attended a small awards ceremony, where my film 'Dave' was nominated for 'Best Structure/Script'.
The film didn't win, but to be nominated at least is an achievment in itself, so i'm quite pleased

So that's all for now. just need to complete this website by adding new links for my films and any other content that isn't finished yet

On another note, I gave blood today for the first time, so i'm quite pleased with myself

The pressure is rising, much more is demanded off me everyday. I am trying to keep to a tight schedule, I have all the scenes left to do written out in order of how to do them. Things are going well. Looking at the film at the moment with the animatic filling in scenes not complete. It runs at 3min 20s, this is with titles and stuff, but now as I am filling in the blanks, the scenes last longer than the animatic.. Which is good as its not long enough to bore, just I didn't really time out the animatic properly. So the film at the moment runs at nearly 4mins!

I met with Paddy recently to work on Music, my original intention for the main theme has been abandoned for a more emotional piano piece. The music, although not complete is coming on quite nicely

Also I got other things on my mind to work on, like the DVD

Sometimes due to pointing the camera in a certain way gives a better shot, or in most cases due to making things easier.

In a scene I am doing now, I have had so many problems which has taken days to do, constantly re-shooting. But by pointing the camera elsewhere it adds emphasis to a point I am trying to make whilst also making the scene easier to film.

I am working on the climax of the film which is taking longer to do than I originally thought. My plan is to have it finished tomorrow morning so I can work on other shots that need completing on other sets.

since the last post, I have added more grass and discovered small flowers that my mum had for craft making. very handy

Just need to buy more flock for the grass, build a flowerbed, add some crawling vines to the wall, and the rest is done in post
