Fantastic. That’s great news – I’d love to be able to purchase a pair of these devices, one given away, and I also get a piece of computing and educational history.
Even better – will the receipient child get an email address and be ‘paired’ with the donor? That would be really interesting. Actually, I’ve just realised the child protection issues that would need to be dealt with with a program like that – hmmm. Oh well. That’s a really sad state of affairs isn’t it?
Still, there’s a load of geeks that will combine their christmas gadget indulgence and charitable action handled in one activity.
