Great writeup of the interactive touch environment that MS is touting as a table unit for stores and public places.
Some really clever stuff – check out the transparent sensors stuck on glass tiles (the first video on this page, that display video through the glass…very, very cool.
Of course, touch screens have been around for years, but the emergence of draggable interface controls in consumer devices like the iPod node well for seeing this stuff deployed into a wider variety of devices…not to mention the gesture based interface of the Wii.
