The New York Times > Technology > New Incentive for Google Employees: Awards Worth Millions
Average Reading Time: less than a minute.
Good, short story in the NY Times about Google’s brain fund that sticks millions of dollars into the hands of employees who make a big deal difference to the company’s performance.
It’s designed to provide the same sort of reward that could come from being in a start-up…and therefore create incentive to join/disincentive to leave post IPO.
And Google just posted a billion dollar quarter. Wow.

Update: Nice, sour and probably more realistic take on this from Russell Beattie.
