“…Email served well for one-to-one, asynchronous communication and basic file sharing, while intranets and extranets enabled some information sharing between teams and with clients. Each of these technologies had its drawbacks, however. First, none adequately supported the live brainstorming sessions and creative development meetings critical to generating unique, creative ideas…”
Superb case study – nice focus on the creative aspect of the tool – and the pinboard feature used for mood-boarding is cool.
Still, where is the OSX version? At the moment: “…Team members who are on Macs use Groove on a laptop PC, or by using Virtual PC or Windows Terminal Services…” Hmmmm.
And very interestingly, Lowe gets clients to install the preview edition and witness the early stages of creative development.
I’ve just been invloved in a similar spot – mood boarding websites, involving the client at an early stage, but it was all through phone calls – “…no, click that second menu option, you see it there, the green…etc.” using Groove would be much smoother – plus that interop tool with radio to publish key stages of development.
