Blogs in Business
Average Reading Time: less than a minute.
Over the next couple of weeks, a whole bunch of books relating to blogs will be appearing in bookstores. Rebecca Blood‘s book, The Weblog Handbook: Practical Advice on Creating and Maintaining Your Blog is the first published, and, unlike many of the books which will follow, discusses blogging as a personal adventure, rather than giving details about the nuts-and-bolts of the many blogging programs. Another book from the same publisher (and edited by Rebecca Blood) is We’ve Got Blog: How Weblogs Are Changing Our Culture. Like The Weblog Handbook this is a book about blogging, and very interesting in its variety of viewpoints.
Some of the other books to look for will be more technical in nature:
- We Blog: Publishing Online with Weblogs
by Paul Bausch, Matthew Haughey, Meg Hourihan - Blogging: Genius Strategies for Instant Web Content
by Biz Stone - Essential Blogging
by Shelley Powers, Cory Doctorow, J. Scott Johnson, Mena G. Trott, Benjamin Trott
Of course these will be followed by the various “Dummies”, “Bible”, “QuickStart” and all the other computer books which are often sold by the pound.
