Worldmapper: The world as you’ve never seen it before – just saw this in New Scientist (my new favourite magazine).
Fantastic maps, skewed to reflect economic and demographic details (like patents, or tourism spend). They’re incredibly powerful displays of quantitative data, not so much because they show proportion, but because of the massive distortion of highly recognisable visualisations. Powerful stuff.
