Ha! I had *exactly* the same conversation with some colleagues while we were at Nokia, except I’d noticed the same design on Victorian era urinals in Haye’s Island, Cardiff. And they had bees not flys. The whole aim, reduced splash, is the same. We had much fun talking about the affordance of this design – again, we were talkin’ Norman and doors, when I thought about the bees and that they demonstrate perfect affordance Don Norman. And I’m afraid I have no photographic proof – as I’m not brave enough to use a camera in these toliets -cardiff not being as progressive and tolerant as Amsterdam :-) Link from kottke.org
