Nice use of flash for document navigation?
Average Reading Time: less than a minute.
Sapient: Case studies click on Janus – and look at the way the flash based nav works for the document. This could be a pretty elegant way of managing a common content problem I’ve come across. At the moment, the design team use a zoom pod, but I don’t think it’s particularly effective as it doesn’t provide any overall context of the document (how can I tell this bit is near that etc.) However, a zoom pod *with* this type of navigation would be cool – providing both the context and zoom that makes a large document legible.
Thinking about it, this is old hat – maps do this all the time.
