How to use Copenhagen City Bikes.
Lovely write up of Copenhagen’s rather nifty bike rental scheme.
I just found this in my drafts folder. What a great few days attending the Reboot conference. So this would have been much more in chronological context if I’d posted it back in May.
And I rode one of those bikes home at 5 in the morning, after finding it in my path. Brilliant. Quite difficult to handle though – not the most responsive of vehicles. Mind you, I wasn’t quite at my finest either.
And there’s now an sms-based bike rental system in Manchester. Great idea, bad implementation – £10 deposits :-| Will they ever learn? The bikes look pristine. I.e. unused.
Maybe they’ll get hacked?
