I came across this from the Apple Pro site. Absolutely brilliant video interviews with scientists, writers, etc. posed as retrospectives of their lives.
They seem to be in start-up (i.e. beta) phase, and you can try out the site for free at the moment (it’s £30 p.a. for a personal a/c after that). It’s a fantastic example of how to design an archive of long video interviews – interviews chunked on the left of the screen, with meta-info (external links, illustrations, books etc.) on the right. The main content window is beautiful quicktime, with several levels of bandwidth choice.
Design-aside, it’s a great idea, to archive these great men’s (no women as yet) lives in rich, meta-filled video archives.
Video at it’s best. And it’s a firm based in good ol’ Blighty!peoples_archive
