“As you add trips to different destinations, Dopplr’s logo becomes your logo, reflecting what you’re doing – right the way through to the ‘favicon‘ that shows up in the address field of most browsers…”
Lovely. Trouble is, I didn’t notice it – I often access the site through a mobile browser, so the nuanced colour formatting was difficult to notice.
Although the site is well formed, so renders well (on Mobile Opera), there’s loads of scope to create a mobile optimised version of the site; off the top of my head; some of the primary information I’d want to be able to glance at; coincidences in the next 3 days, dropdown list of friends…
On ‘the big screen’, however, it’s a great use of visual reinforcement – definitely one of the better I’ve seen.
