Mobile TV observations…

I’m not sure if I’ve pointed to Jan Chipchase’s blog before, but it’s brilliant. He’s run ethnography research projects for Nokia, and has a _really_ cool job, going to places all over the world to observe mobile phone culture and usage patterns.
He documents all of this with really interesting shots of mobile phone charge stations in India, or another set of photos might document repair cultures in Mumbai, and African village cellular connections through portable cell towers carried on bikes. His latest offering is a run down on a report (also available) of observational reports of mobile-based television in South Korea.
TV, Personal Experiences is a fascinating slice of the near (Western) future of handset usage…
I’m bowled over by the generosity of his documenting stacks of stuff via his blog.
