Darts, Online NGO’s and open source solutions

Average Reading Time: about a minute.

This feels strange, somewhat exclusive…. I have only done a very *minor* amount of blogging and getting back into it is like going back to playing darts. A sport that I have only tried once or twice, which consequently has produced some very shaky and un-inspiring results. Not that I have attended many exclusive darts meetings that is.
I suppose the reason I have posted here is so that this idea will be masticated by myself and others over the next few months and will hopefully lead to some inspiring conversation.
To give some background (which is as far as I will go in this post) I have a very eccentric uncle who has been setting up a number of euro-asian linked schemes, their main focus being the set-up of a digital ethnographic database of tibetan medicines. Apart from it being a nice gambit to bring to an upper middle class breakfast discussion it stands out as a sign that no culture can escape the utility of the vacuum-net. I have been consulted at a number of points along the way and have found myself drawn into its complexity, like a kid drawn to a knotted swingball.
If anyone is interested in hearing more about plans for this NGO then check back.. for now I will leave you with this morsel.
