blogging CEOs?

Average Reading Time: less than a minute.

I’ve got loads of blog entries queued up, but they’ll need some thinking time, which I ain’t got…however I am at my client’s office and noticed their global and UK CEOs have a ‘corner’ – essentially a place to give their opinions, invite feedback and let staff know generally what’s on their mind.
Sounds just like a weblog doesn’t it? But it’s not. It’s single direction, sounds like it’s been forced through a PR flak and is monthly.
It would be so much better to have a few entries a week – build into the CEO workflow. Get a commenting system baked in so employees can have a public/unmediated conversation arun the issues raised. And flow this info out through RSS – fast and cheap distribution. No more command and control masquerading as a ‘consultative’ approach.
One interesting thing – the CEOs thoughts are translated into six languages. I wonder how long it is before the weblog superstars start running multiple content feeds in key languages? And how do this? Machine translation?
